Nick Groch is a licensed architect running for the position of School Board Director at Large in Great Valley School District Voting Region 2. With a deep understanding of capital planning, development, and construction, Nick aims to bring his expertise to the School Board to support thoughtful decision-making regarding our school facilities. His focus is on ensuring that future investments—particularly in the imminent expansion and enhancement of Great Valley High School—are well-planned, fiscally responsible, and aligned with the needs of students, educators, and the community.
Nick Groch has been an active and dedicated member of the East Whiteland community, contributing his expertise as an architect on the Historical Commission. He has also supported the Great Valley School District by serving on the PTOs of KD Markley Elementary and Charlestown Elementary, working alongside fellow families to enhance the educational experience for all students. Nick pledges to be a vocal participant in development hearings throughout Great Valley as your independent board director, compelling residential developers to contribute to the school system which makes GVSD such a desirable place to raise a family.
Nick Groch is committed to representing the entire community with fairness and transparency. As an independent candidate, he will thoughtfully consider every issue from the perspective of both a parent and an architect, ensuring decisions are made without bias and in alignment with the needs and priorities of the people he serves. He will answer to his constituents, not the loudest voices from the farthest reaches of a political party.
Nick Groch is committed to ensuring that every decision benefits all students and families in the Great Valley School District. For example, while he has not yet seen a compelling case for the use of education vouchers in the district, he remains open to thoughtful discussions. He will only support a program if it can be shown to provide a fair, practical, and equitable solution for families of all socio-economic backgrounds, while maintaining adequate funding for our exceptional public education system.
As a first generation American on his father's side, Nick Groch believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental American values that strengthen our community and schools. He is committed to focusing on the real challenges facing the School Board and ensuring that discussions remain productive, solution-oriented, and centered on the best interests of all students and families.
As an architect, Nick Groch understands how to make smart, strategic investments in our school facilities to ensure that Great Valley School District continues to thrive. He is committed to using taxpayer dollars efficiently to maintain and enhance the district’s strong reputation. He also recognizes that high-quality public education comes at a cost, and that cost is directly linked to student success. Ensuring that our schools remain well-funded in the coming decade benefits the entire community.
